not trying to argue or whatever because i don’t enjoy BVB that much either or more like it’s not my kind of music but this post is just one big contradiction. i do understand the points you’re trying to making regarding music > image but a lot of the reasoning you’re using to prove it just doesn’t make sense.

the latter half of that statement makes the former completely irrelevant. it just says that you’re actually not okay “if bands call themselves whatever”.

honestly if you were really an open minded person then you wouldn’t really have much to say about their music whether it sucks or if its awesome. normally you’d just pass it off as a hit or miss in your music library. also, to say that BVB are just another band focusing on image instead of music is a bit condescending. i don’t believe it’s your place to judge whether a band is focusing on the wrong things right? it’s awful for bands to have people who think they know what bands intentions are especially if they aren’t fans. unless you’re good friends with the actual band and know them personally  then you probably shouldn’t have a say in what you think they should be doing and how they should be presenting themselves, whether it be their music, image or whatever. also some things are up to labels so you should keep that in mind. marketability is part of the music business so you never know if it’s up to the band or the label.

i’m not trying to convert you to listen to BVB because i don’t like them either but i feel like all bands should be given the benefit of the doubt. i’ve been reading your rants lately and i do see where you’re coming from most of the time but this specifically didn’t sit right and urged me to voice my opinion on the matter. i don’t know if you’ll get the chance to read this at all but please don’t take this offensively in any way.
